Spanish 2 continues the gentle, living approach begun in Spanish 1, guiding students toward greater comprehension, confidence, and natural use of Spanish.

Designed for Charlotte Mason families, this recorded course builds steadily through short lessons, rich language, and meaningful repetition, without pressure or overwhelm.

This is a recording-only course, with lessons released gradually.

Who Is Spanish 2 For?

Spanish 2 is best for:

• Students who have completed Spanish 1
• Learners 7 year olds with a basic foundation in spoken Spanish or older beginner students who would enjoy children’s folk songs, and games.
• Children who understand familiar words and phrases and are ready for more sustained listening and interaction
• Charlotte Mason families seeking continued foreign language study through living methods

7 year old Students should already be comfortable listening to Spanish and responding orally at a beginner level.

Course Structure

• 60 total video lessons
• 3 trimesters
• 10 weeks per trimester
• 2 lessons per week
• Each lesson is 10–15 minutes

This structure maintains Charlotte Mason’s emphasis on short, focused lessons while allowing language skills to grow naturally over time.

Course Release Schedule

• Lessons are released gradually throughout the course
• 2 new video lessons are posted each week

Families who enroll after the course has begun will receive immediate access to all recordings posted so far and may move through the lessons at their own pace, while continuing to receive newly released lessons.

What We Use to Teach (Spanish 2)

Spanish 2 continues to use living, age-appropriate materials, with increased exposure to connected language and conversation, including:

• Stories and illustrated texts
• Songs and poems
• Games and oral activities
• Guided conversation
• Repetition within meaningful context

At this level, students begin to hear longer phrases and short sentences, strengthening comprehension and confidence.

There is no grammar instruction and no worksheet-based learning. The focus remains on listening, understanding, and speaking naturally.
